Uncertain and unviable numbers over a period and few children of pre-school age in the Community resulted in the closure of Wanalirri School, at the end of term 3, 2019. There were no students attending in the last weeks of term 3. Any future students in the Community will be educated by Wanamani School, Mt Barnett (75kms away) using School of the Air.
