Gibb River Station is situated half way along the Gibb River Road 370 km east of Derby and 390km west of Kununurra.
Gibb River station was once a 2 million acre privately owned cattle station but in 1989 the station lease was purchased by the Dept of Aboriginal Affairs for the newly formed Ngallagunda Aboriginal Community.
During the Wet (December through to April) the station is accessible mainly through aircraft but during the Dry the country is full of tourist attractions.
